Harewood Hillclimb Practice Day

Practice for members of the BARC Yorkshire centre got underway at Harewood Hillclimb last Sunday (20th March) in anticipation of the Spring National which will be held on Sunday 10th April 2016…

75 drivers got back on ‘the hill’, after a long wet winter period that witnessed parts of the track well under water. Out on the track was a mixture of Harewood regulars and several new competitors, some in freshly built cars which were undergoing a thorough ‘shakedown’, and others were looking to get back in the groove and low out the cobwebs. Sundays event got under way in glorious spring weather, though sadly this did not last into the afternoon…The marshals and rescue crews were kept busy throughout the day due to mechanical failures, a couple of ‘offs’ and some near misses.
