CARACALLA 1947 launch AYRTON SENNA COLLECTION

Caracalla 1947 has launched a truly unique collection to commemorate three-time FIA World Formula 1 champion and, to many, the greatest racing driver that ever lived, Ayrton Senna.

The new Ayrton Senna #1 range, developed in partnership with the Instituto Ayrton Senna, is being launched at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend and will celebrate 25 years since Ayrton Senna won his first FIA Formula 1 World Championship in 1988. It will carry his signature and the famous No 1, which he switched to in 1989 having won the Championship the previous year. Each product in the collection also has the number 88 embossed into the leather, in recognition of the first of his three World Championships wins.

The range is hand-made in Italy to precise and exacting standards using only the best craftsmanship and the highest quality vegetable-tanned through-dyed Tuscan leather and comes in a classic rosso opaco (red matte) finish with Ayrton’s No 1 insignia in bianco (white) leather. As well as his signature, products will carry the marque of the Instituto Ayrton Senna, the foundation he set up to develop the potential of children in Brazil. A percentage of every sale will go back to the Institute.

The centrepiece of the Ayrton Senna #1 collection is the Monza weekend holdall. Designed as the perfect bag for a night or weekend away, each holdall displays solid metal feet for protection, a detachable shoulder strap and luggage tag, an internal zipped pocket, and comes with its own cloth dust cover for added protection when not in use.
