Ingram Takes Both Wins at MG Live!

Guest driver, Tom Ingram, resisted strong competition from the top MG Trophy drivers to win both of the Dunlop sponsored races at the premier MG event of the year at Silverstone… MG Live.

Tom was driving a brand new MGZR 190 sponsored and built by leading MG dealers Brown & Gammons in the international event on the Arena GP circuit last weekend.

Trophy co-ordinator Pete Macwaters said ”Tom appeared to be having fun in a more relaxed atmosphere than he’s used to despite the on track pressure from the top Trophy drivers. He was on pole in both races but just 0.15secs in front of Trophy regular Paul Luti.”

At the driver awards ceremony, Tom said “I’ve had a great time here and have really enjoyed competing in the MG Trophy Championship. I’m really impressed by how much fun these cars are to drive”

Macwaters went on to say Tom had told him he was surprised at how friendly and helpful everyone was. Following qualifying problems with the car, rival competitor Paul Luti’s sister, Claire, had helped the B & G team late into the night on Friday to sort an oil seal problem.

“ It was a real pleasure to have Tom race with us at the weekend and a pity he missed meeting up with KX academy and ex Trophy graduate Jack Goff who attended the annual Trophy garage BBQ on the Saturday night” said Macwaters.
