Project Pre-65 Trials Cub…Whats left?

The big Tiger Cub parts sale is near the end with only a few last parts to go on the ‘bay over the next few days. Strapped to the bike lift it’s looking a little sorry for itself are the frame and motor – everything else just can’t be used. In the next few weeks the build will start and I am already experimenting with the front end, which will probably consist of Montesa yokes with a TY175 stem. Like all things modified, change one small thing and you have to change several others as it looks like the frame head will have to be machined out to accept later headstock bearings and the TY stem nut system may also have to undergo some modification. The Monty yokes will also have to have a little machining and I will need some alloy inserts ‘turned up’ so I can run the smaller TY175 forks. Put the kettle on SM Products I am on my way….
