Techno Classica Essen 2013

Essen has to be one of the largest Classic shows in the world and it goes without saying that if you love your classics then get the ‘chunnel’ booked for next years event. There is a large proportion of ‘road car’s’ but many ace historic racers can also be found and whilst the prices look high I don’t think I have ever seen a higher standard of restoration- in many cases better than new.

BMW had a truly remarkable display from their historic fleet of road, race cars and bikes including their latest Works Rally Mini Countryman. Other halls included some of the major European dealers and at every turn you spotted something incredible from original racing Fords; GT40, GT350 & Cobra’s to vintage Ferraris and Porsche RS’s. If your buying this is the event to go to.

In summary there is so much to see from displays, cars, memorabilia and a huge autojumble, give yourself at least 2 days to see the show, 3 days if you want to amble!
