New SEAT Touring Cars for the 2014 Season

SEAT is all set to reveal two new touring cars, the Leon Cup Racer & the Ibiza SC Trophy.

The Leon Cup Racer concept car, which is based on the 5 door Leon, with 330 hp / 243 kW car which has the 2.0ltr four pot turbocharged engine boasting output of 330 hp / 243 kW, with 350Nm or torque. Power transmission to the front axle is handled by a 6-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox controlled from the steering wheel and an electronically controlled differential lock. Price wise initial figures have been quoted at €70,000 (excl. VAT) with the DSG box, while an endurance version with a sequential transmission and mechanical differential lock is priced at €95,000 (also excl. VAT). The plan is for the ‘out the box’ racer to be ready for customer teams to compete in 2014 season.

The new SEAT Ibiza SC Trophy has a 1.4-litre turbocharged engine which now puts out 200 hp / 147 kW, a 7-speed DSG operated from the steering wheel and a mechanical differential lock for outstanding traction. SEAT say that customers with a racing licence can buy the Ibiza SC Trophy direct from SEAT Sport with prices starting at €31,500 (excl. VAT).
