FIM MX World Championship. RND 8, Ernée

FIM Motocross World Championship descends on Ernée, North West France this weekend, already the 8th GP and halfway through the 2013 season.

The weekend will lead with both MX1 & MX2 but will also feature the EMX250 European Championship.

In MX1 Antonio Cairoli (Red Bull KTM) leads the field with a 52 point clear advantage over Gautier Paulin (Kawasaki) who is the homegrown favourite for this weekends meeting. Clement Desalle (Rockstar Energy Suzuki) sits 3rd in the current standings and will also be a major contender.

British rider Tommy Searle who is finding his feet in the MX1 class, is sixth in the championship but is recovering from injury and Paddock42 wish him the best of luck for this coming race weekend.

MX2 charge is led by Jeffrey Herlings (Red Bull KTM) with a 90 point lead in the championship with teammate Jordi Tixier in hot pursuit. Herlings inches closer to what could be his second FIM MX2 World Title. José Butrón (KTM Silver Action) sits third in current standings. No doubt that Christophe Charlier (Monster Energy Yamaha) will be pushing hard in front of his countrymen for good result along with the other French riders Dylan Ferrandis and Maxine Desprey who will also be looking for a top ten finish.
