Morecambe Missile Takes The Senior & His 20th TT Win

It was a hard fought win by Morecambe man John McGuinness as he etched his name deeper into the Isle of Man TT record books. Winning by 10.092 seconds from team mate and 2013 TT sensation Michael Dunlop with Bruce Ansty taking 3rd.

The Senior came at the end of a sensational 2013 TT week which has been dominated by Michael Dunlop who many thought may just be able to match Hutchy’ s record of 5 wins in a week in 2010. It was a real battle with McGuniness only taking the lead at the hairpin on the second lap, but from then on he kept it pinned and managed to control the race. Bruce Anstey had a last charge at the Bungalow on the last lap and managed to out do James Hillier, the Lightweight TT winner from earlier in the day, by less than a second to take the last step on the podium.
