24H Dubai 2014…Ginetta Confirm Factory Entry

24h dubai 2014 – Ginetta’s factory outfit, Team LNT can today confirm their entry into the 24hr Dubai 2014; a gruelling endurance race held at the 5.39km Dubai Autodrome Grand Prix Circuit, on 9 – 11 January 2014.

After an insightful 2013 with impressive results in the MSA British Endurance Championship and International GT Open the team are now confident of putting on an impressive show in what is undoubtedly one of the world’s ultimate endurance tests.

Well versed in 24 Hour endurance events, Ginetta Chairman Lawrence Tomlinson and Team LNT were class winners in the Le Mans 24h GT2 class in 2006, as well as the Britcar 24 hour in that same year.

More recently, Team LNT also won the 2010 Britcar 24 Hour Class 4 honours in their Ginetta G40 – which Team LNT drove from their Leeds base to Silverstone, where they qualified, raced, won and drove home again.

With their driver line-up still to be announced, Ginetta factory driver and former British Karting Champion Mike Simpson; “Team LNT are looking forward to making their debut in the 24hr Dubai; with preparations in Leeds already underway. Lawrence Tomlinson knows what it takes to win such a high-profile race, and we are going there with our sights set on a prominent result.”

As the first international endurance race of the New Year, the 24hr Dubai is becoming increasingly popular within the motorsport world; having attracted a provisional grid of 90 cars thus far, thanks, in part to its thrilling circuit and spectacular location.

Team LNT will not be fielding the only Ginetta on the grid however, as Optimum Motorsport and Team Parker Racing will be competing in their Ginetta G50 GT4 Cars, with Optimum Motorsport aiming to reclaim the class honours, having won the GT4 battle in 2012.

Televised live on MOTORSTV and Dubai TV as well as various websites, RadioLeMans.com will also broadcast live for 14 hours across the event, offering global exposure for teams, drivers and sponsors.

Many thanks to Ginetta and Jakob Ebrey Photography
