Thruxton Easter Revival Kick-Starts 2014 Season at the UK’s Fastest Circuit

As befits the fastest circuit in the country, Thruxton is speeding at full-throttle towards the 2014 motor racing campaign – and fans of all disciplines of the sport will be well catered-for by the Hampshire venue’s spectacular season schedule.

Thruxton is beloved by competitors and spectators alike for its challenging, fearsomely fast layout, superb viewing and invariably excellent racing. The action will rev into life in fine style with the retro-flavoured Easter Revival meeting in April.

Car racing has been a fixture at Thruxton for more than six decades, and the Historic Sports Car Club-run Easter Revival resurrects many of the sights, smells and sounds of motor sport in years gone-by, with a particular focus on Formula 2 and – this year – the inaugural Super Touring Car Championship.

The modern-day Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) roars into the circuit just two weeks later, over the May Bank Holiday weekend, as the UK’s premier motor sport series makes its annual trip to the ultra-quick track.

The following month welcomes the power and thunder of the British Truck Racing Championship, whilst two-wheeled fans will be focussing their attention on the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship, which calls in on the first weekend in August.

British F3 is next up a fortnight later, before the BARC and North Gloucester Motorcycle race meetings wrap proceedings up in the autumn. That does not mean, however, that Thruxton then slips into hibernation over the winter months – far from it.

Visitors can take advantage of the venue’s plethora of additional activities all-year-round, from its Supercar driving experiences to its state-of-the-art skid pan, karting centre and off-road course.
