Huge grid to kick off the MG Trophy Championship

MG Trophy Championship expects to have 25 starters at Brands Hatch this weekend (3/4 May) to start their race season.

“I’m actually a few short and could have had 29 lining up” said Macwaters, “ it’s also great to have secured a main MG Dealer ‘Toomey MG’ of Basildon as our race sponsor. Our Saturday race will be filmed and combined with one of our Silverstone races to form a one hour TV slot for Motors TV” enthused Macwaters.

Four of the new ‘160’ class cars will make their race debut on the twisty Indy circuit mixing it with the upgraded ‘170’ and full race ‘190’ cars.

The two Trophy races are part of a monster 25 race weekend organised by the MG Car Club which also features races for the Porsche Club, Ferrari Open and Classic, BARC Quaife saloons and Mazda MX5’s.

Racing starts at 12:30 on the Saturday.
