MG Trophy Championship Goes to Knockhill

MG Trophy Championship travels to Knockhill this weekend with 16 drivers making the trip north to the famous Scottish circuit for rounds 5 & 6 of the 2014 season.

Championship co-ordinator Pete Macwaters said “Every few years we head north to Knockhill to say thanks to the 4 Scottish Trophy drivers who travel south for all their races with the MG Car Club.” “I’m sure that some of our newer drivers don’t realise the commitment the Scottish guys put in every month driving as far south as Brands Hatch to compete in the Trophy, it’ll be good for them to see just how far north Knockhill is !”

Scot, Colin Robertson, now in his 10th year in the championship cleaned up at the big MG 90 event at Silverstone in June with both wins, he will be out to prove that he can do it again on home soil but will have to watch out for the strong local opposition from Graham Ross and Paul Luti, plus points leader Chris Bray, all in identical class B 190 cars.

Macwaters concluded saying “We’re always made to feel very welcome at Knockhill and it’s great to be back in Scotland.” ”Once again Colin has done us proud and is sponsoring both races in memory of his late father Stewart Robertson”.
