RSR goes to Portimao

Are you a trackday legend? Fancy going racing in Europe next season but need to learn the tracks? News hot off the press from RSR…

15 years ago RSR (Ron Simons Racing) arrived at Nurburgring and since then have established themselves as the leading track experience operator at the legendary circuit. Next came RSR Spa, giving drivers the chance to drive another of Europe’s most famous circuits and now the company have launched a new track day platform in sunny Portugal at the international circuit Portimao.

Naturally the circuit is flat out during the season hosting international race meetings with the likes of F1 and MotoGP. But as the winter encroaches in Northern Europe the circuit offers the perfect opportunity for drivers to head south and take advantage of warm sunny days, less tourists, lower prices and perfect driving conditions.

The RSR starts relocating part of its fleet from early October and will be based at the Portimao circuit, but the team also operate at the famous Ascari Resort only 370km’s from the track. Ascari is a private race track which is always difficult to gain access to, but the team at RSR Iberia can get you there to experience it first hand!

RSR continue to travel to many circuits in the sunny south including Jerez, Circuit Estoril and Monteblanco Circuit.

On the shoulders of the season, we looked for better weather and an ideal location. Portimao with Ascari fit our business model perfectly. Our customers asked and we have responded.
