HSCC Encourages new racers…

The Historic Sports Car Club (HSCC) has launched a new scheme to encourage new competitors to join three of its most accessible historic championships: Formula Ford, Road Sports and 70s Road Sports.

Novice racers in each of these championships get the chance to win a prestigious end-of-season trophy named in honour of legendary drivers famed for competing in cars of the type now used in these HSCC championships, as well as an entry fee voucher for the 2016 season. New drivers to the Historic Road Sports will compete for the Gerry Marshall Trophy, the 70s Road Sports, the Win Percy Trophy and HSCC will soon announce the naming of the Historic Formula Ford newcomers trophy.

HSCC CEO Grahame White said “We have always been a club that offers newcomers a perfect place to start racing. We recognise that making a start in racing can be daunting, but we hope that this initiative will encourage newcomers to join us. They will be warmly welcomed and will receive all the support and advice they need.”.

The HSCC calendar includes a schedule of high-profile historic race meetings, competing on circuits such as Brands Hatch GP, Silverstone GP, Oulton Park International circuit and Derbyshire’s famous Donington Park. HSCC works hard to keep entry fees competitive so if your thinking about coming back to the grid next season or changing championships get in touch with the club.
