CSCC – New Classes For Porsche

The Classic Sports Car Club (CSCC) have seen a large number of drivers with transaxle Porsches racing in its Future Classic and Modern Classics championships over the last few seasons and for 2015 both series will have new classes…..

The 911 has always had all the press but the front engined transaxle models of the 924, 944, 968 and even 928 (designed as a flagship model originally to replace the 911) are well known for their reliability and beautifully balanced handling. In 2014, CSCC had a total of 99 Porsches of this type registered with the club and drivers divided their racing between the club’s Advantage Motorsport Future Classics series (1970s and 1980s models) and the Modern Classics series (1990’s cars). Many drivers lined up on the grid in both races over the course of a meeting and following feedback from the CSCC drivers both these series will have new classes for this swiftly approaching season:

Advantage Motorsport Future Classics:

924S, 924 Turbo, 944 2.5, 2.7 and 3.0S2.

Modern Classics:

944 3.0S2, 968.

924, 944 Turbo and 928 together with all other Porsche models will race in the CSCC regular classes as per engine capacity.

11-12 April – Snetteron 300 (Test day 26th March)

9 – 10 May – Silverstone

30 – 31 May – Brands Hatch

26 – 28 June – Spa Francorchamps

11 – 12 July – Rockingham

1 – 2 August – Mallory Park
