Race Retro…Opens its Doors.

Race Retro opens its doors tomorrow (February 20th) for a weekend that promises to hold historic racing entertainment across the board. With Group B rally cars out there on a purpose-built rage stage the sights and sounds of yesteryear will once again roll across the Coventry countryside…

This years show will be graced by some of motorsports finest talent with Ari Vatanen, David Brabham, Jimmy McRae, Win Percy and Dai Llewellen all in attendance. David Brabham will be on the interview stage with a display of his late fathers race cars to talk racing and about Project Brabham. Race Retro will also feature a display of rally cars from the career of Richard Burns with this year marking the 10 year anniversary of the passing of England’s only World Rally Champion.

Two wheels have always featured at this event and 2015 is no exception. 5o years ago Mike Hailwood won the 1965 500cc World Motorcycle Championship and the show this year will include ‘The Mike Hailwood Exhibit’ a display of Mike’s bikes, trophies, memorabilia and films hosted by the Mike’s son David Hailwood. Mike ‘The Bike’ is considered by many to be the ‘best motorcycle racer ever’ with 9 World Championships, 76 Grand Prix wins and 14 TT wins.
