Big Grids and a promising 2015 for CSCC

The Classic Sports Car Club (CSCC) line up on the grid for the start of the 2015 season on the 12th April at Snetterton. With drivers tackling the 300 circuit and blowing the cobwebs out after the winter break they start a season that will run until the 1st of November…

The club’s longest running series, the Swinging Sixties Championship has officially sold out for this first meeting with a full grid of 45 cars and a further 12 cars/drivers on the waiting list. The story remains the same, at Silverstone in May with 40 cars lining up and a further 16 waiting to be called up should there be an opportunity. The Classic Sports Car Club have said that round 3 at Brands will be divided into 2 separate groups to avoid disappointment enabling all interested the chance to compete.

Talking with the club, its other series the CSCC Tin Tops and the Advantage Motorsport Future Classics are also proving extremely popular this year and are already nearing capacity with championships including the Modern Classics series gaining further registrations as the first event approaches.

As previously documented on Paddock42, the club launched the New Millennium series for 2015, for race cars dating from 2000 up to the modern day, using two test races in 2014 to gauge interest in the then potential series. Already CSCC have over 30 registrations boasting a wide variety of manufacturers including, Renault, Porsche, Seat, TVR, Honda, Ford, Vauxhall and Seat. This is likely to be a full grid by the time they line up in Norfolk.
