Time Attack welcomes Sam Brabham This Weekend

The Time Attack Championship welcomes Sam Brabham, son of sports car driver and Le Mans winner David Brabham and grandson to the legendary Jack into the fray this weekend at Snetterton.

Strapping himself into a Ford Fiesta ST, the 20 year old racing driver is making his Time Attack debut at the Norfolk track but is no stranger to the grid having raced karts in the European Championship and been regularly on pole, taking wins and standing on the podium in the British Formula Ford Championship, Sam was also selected as a BRDC Rising Star in 2014.

The Oxfordshire driver will be competing in the Pocket Rocket Class this weekend in a car prepared by Airtec.

The MSA Time Attack Championship celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, over 6 rounds, classes start with limited modifications through to highly developed almost prototype examples putting out in excess of 1000hp. As a driver competing at a meeting, you get 4 20 minute track sessions over the course of the day concluding with the final. To win, as a driver you have to take the fastest lap in your individual class in this final.

60 competitors are expected to make the journey to Snetterton this weekend as the championships continues to go from strength to strength. Next stop Brands on the 21st June.
