Jim Thomson Trophy Harewood Sunday 7th June

Sunday 7th June saw hillclimbing return to Harewood for the Jim Thomson Trophy. With entries from MG Car Club, TR Register, Aston Martin Owners Club, Scimitar & Sabre Club plus the usual Harewood regulars, as always competition was fierce at the famous Yorkshire hill…

Practice got underway at 9.00am, the sun was out but it was a windy day and this kept the track temperatures down. After lunch and before the runs got under way, a one-minute silence was held for Les Thurkettle, Harewood regular and Yorkshire hillclimber who sadly passed away in hospital after his fall and on going illness at the last meeting at Harewood.
