Champions Crowned at Brands BTCC, Clios, Porsche Cup & Ginettas

BTCC season came to a close at the weekend (10th & 11th October) with Gordon Shedden, Jason Plato and Matt Neal taking the top 3 spots in the championship after another door handle to door handle season.

The Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup title was firmly claimed by Tom Oliphant, the Cheshire driver has been a force to be reckoned with this year especially the later part of the season securing eight wins and 13 podiums this year. In the AM class Colin White secured the title over his closest rival Osamu Kawashima in the opening race leaving 3rd place honours to go to Fraser Robertson.

In the Ginetta Juniors 16 year old Jamie Caroline was crowned Champion although it was a dramatic affair including being awarded a jump-start penalty he just edged it over closest rival Senna Proctor who he matched on points but had out performed with the total number of wins.

15 year old Lando Norris secured the championship title in the MSA Formula Championship, the young driver arrived at the Kent circuit 13 points ahead of closest rival Ricky Collard. In the Porsche Carrera Cup former Formula Ford Champion Dan Cammish totally dominated this year and has secured the title following 11 wins over the course of the season. Ashley Sutton has been crowned Renualt UK Clio Cup Champion, as always the Clios were a spectacle with only seconds between 1st and 4th places. Results as follows…
