WA State Championships Round 5 – Barbagallo Raceway

Simon Phillips returned to Barbagallo Raceway in Perth at the weekend for round 5 of the WA State Championships, with the sun shining ‘down under’ as summer approaches, the bike racing season continues…

The meeting had some good size grids with the sidecars joining the fray on Sunday to stretch their legs and the weather a hovered around the mid 20’s most of the weekend, only turning into a scorcher when it did occasionally break through the cloud. Hard battles were fought throughout the classes and watching the CBR150’s you could only wonder if the next Casey Stoner was out there developing skills that could be one day found ‘polished’ at Phillip Island…
