Chateau Impney Hill Climb to return in 2016

The organisers of the Chateau Impney Hill Climb have confirmed that the event will return in 2016 and will be held over the weekend of the 9th & 10th July.

Last years inaugural event witnessed around 10,000 people attending the hillclimb which is held in the grounds of the Chateau Impney Hotel in Droitwich, a location that welcomed back motorsport after a 50 year break. In 2015, around 200 pre’ 67 cars tackled the new 885 metre course, including a Fiat S76, Grand Prix Bugatti Type 35’s, Monaco-winning Alfa Romeo P3 Tipo B, ERA’s, C & D Type Jaguars along with many other 1950’s and 1960’s sports cars. Jack Woodhouse was the fastest over the course last year with a time of 42.42 seconds and the Banbury based driver has confirmed he will return again to the Chateau to defend his title in his Lotus 20/22 in this summer.

Popular with drivers due to its technicality and stunning location, the organisers tell us that they have received huge interest from competitors already for the July event and they are expecting the crowds to return to enjoy the atmosphere, car clubs, air show, vintage fun fair, Concours d’Elegance, trade stands and displays and to wonder the paddock area.

General admission tickets include free access to the grandstands and are priced from £20 per person, under-16s are free. More information can be found here.
