2017 Ginetta Junior Scholarship Entries Open…

Entries into the 2017 Ginetta Junior Scholarship opened today (12 May 2016)….

Blyton Park, Lincolnshire will host the event from the 24^th to 26^th October, the scholarship is designed to help young drivers make the jump into sportscar racing and if they are successful, win the opportunity of a fully-funded season in the Simpson Race Products Ginetta Junior Championship in 2017.

First launched in 2009, the scholarship is awarded to one driver by Ginetta, the successful driver must excel not just in speed and skill but demonstrate their abilities in fitness, learning, professionalism, team work and they must also be a ‘marketable’ as they compete in a sponsored G40.

As well as their entry and race car, the winner will receive professional car preparation with an experienced team, insurance throughout the season, a Ginetta race suit and a season supply of race tyres and fuel. To participate in the Ginetta Junior Scholarship, drivers dates of birth must fall between 01/01/2001 and 21/03/2003 and they must not have previously competed in a MSA circuit car race.

Previous winners include 2016 scholar Daniel Harper who currently leads the Simpson Race Products Ginetta Junior Championship Rookie Class and already has a win outright. Daniel Harper’s predecessor Stuart Middleton claimed the 2015 Ginetta Junior Winter Series title and currently leads the 2016 Junior Championship.
