The Mercedes AMG GT crew were kept honest right to the flag by the #1 Belgian Audi Club WRT Audi R8 of Laurens Vanthor, Fred Vervisch and Dries Vanthoor.

The fight for overall honours came down to a straight fight between Buhk and Laurens Vanthoor after they emerged from their final pitstops just 2.4 seconds apart. Buhk managed to eke out a 5 second advantage before the safety car was deployed with 40 minutes of the three hour race remaining. Vanthoor immediately attacked once the race went green again with 20 minutes to go, but fell just 0.9 seconds short of victory at the flag.

The GRT Grasser Racing Lamborghini Huracan of Mirko Bortolotti, Rolf Ineichen and Jeroen Bleekemolen completed the podium after starting the race from pole position.

In the Pro-Am class, Black Falcon made it two victories for Mercedes after Maro Engel snatched the lead from Philipe Giauque’s Audi on the final lap of the race. The ISR Audi was then also overhauled by Jonny Adam in the Oman Racing Aston Martin, falling from first to third in class on the last lap of the race

Am Cup honours went to the Rinaldi Racing Ferrari 488 GT3 driven by Pierre Ehret and Stef Vancampenhoudt.
