BTCC Snetterton

BTCC arrived at Snetterton last weekend (30th &31st July) returning from the short summer break for round 6 of its hard charging season…

Former BTCC Michael Caine made his return into the fray but it was defending champion Gordon Shedden who was king of the paddock in his Halfords sponsored Honda Civic Type R. A huge accident in race 3 fortunately did not create and serious injuries but the Scot was able to secure a last lap victory over Rob Collard with a sensational drive. Next event for the BTCC is Knockhill on the 13th & 14th August.

Great result by Sennan Fielding, who secured a win in race one of the F4 British championship and Ginetta Junior driver Harry King; Harry secured his first ever win in the Ginetta Junior Championship. Also out on track over the weekend were the Porsche Carrera Cup GB, former FF champ and racer to watch Dan Cammish dominated, Renault UK Clio Cup, which saw Mike Bushell, former Clio Champion win along with Ant Whortown-Eales and the Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup where Jamie Orton secured a double win.
