Autosport 2017 opens its doors this weekend

Day one of the 2017 Autosport Show proved a success that included launches and interviews with the likes of Martin Brundle, Darren Turner (WEC Aston Martin) and rally legend Malcom Wilson…

Highlight of the show is the 40th Anniversary Williams F1 feature which is wowing the crowds with the likes of the teams race winning Martini FW07, Nigel Mansells ’92 Championship winning FW14B, Damon Hills Championship Winning FW18 plus other famous team cars from the last forty years . If your going to the show make sure you take it in as visitors enter through a 1977 Williams pit garage going on a 4 decade tour emerging in a 2017 pit garage.

The BTCC starts in a mere 3 months time and teams and drivers unveiled new liveries that included Andrew Jordans Pirtek BMW and Motorbase Performance’s three Shredded Wheat backed Ford Focuses – Martin Depper and Luke Davenport join Mat Jackson for an assult on the 2017 crown.

50 years of RallyX is also celebrated and the Live Action Arena is reverberating with the ‘sounds of sideways’ RallyX action, you can even see the very Porsche 911R that won the first meeting at Lydden Hill back in ’67 plus a fine array of Grp B icons.
