Ginetta Media Day 2018

On Wednesday(14th March) Ginetta Cars held its 2018 media day at Brands Hatch…2018 celebrates 60 years of this legendary car manufacturer which was originally founded by the Walklett brothers back in 1958 in Woodbridge Suffolk.

Ginetta was ultimately acquired by experienced racing driver and successful businessman Lawrence Tomlinson in 2005 who aimed to remain true to the original founders of Ginetta and to continue producing innovative, capable and above all, great value sports cars.

New for 2018, Ginetta Racing Drivers Club Arrive and Drive are offering a low-risk way to join Ginetta’s novice racing series. The arrive and drive package allows customers to use one of the Ginetta G40 Club cars for the 2018 season, removing the up-front cost of a new car purchase and minimising the time commitment and effort required during the course of the year.

Ginetta will transport the G40 Club car to each event, meaning you don’t have to worry about storage or maintenance, as Ginetta takes care of both. At the end of the season there’s the option to buy a car or walk away but i can’t see that happening. Get in touch with Ginetta for 2018 prices.

The day saw some of the young drivers from the Ginetta Juniors out on track giving them a chance to stretch their legs and to improve their driving skills in readiness for this years championship.

Also out were the more experienced drivers from the Ginetta GT4 Supercup with Charlie Ladell putting in the fastest time on the day, a very respectable 47.554.

After a hearty lunch the media were invited to experience the thrill of hurtling around Brands Hatch in one of the Ginetta G40 cars expertly driven by one of the tame drivers(not my words). Asked if i wanted to to head out in one of the bigger GT4’s, no need to ask me twice.

2018 is going to be a busy year for the Ginetta brand and it all starts at Oulton Park on the 31-02 March with the G40 Cup and GT5 Challenge.
