Nick Crispin does the double at Brands…

Race 1 Less than 0.7 of a second had separated the top 7 drivers in qualifying but by the start of the race the rain had started. Nick Crispin started in third place and lead by the end of the first lap. A safety car incident resulted in Sandro Proietti taking the lead temporarily until Nick Crispin resumed the lead to take the chequered flag. Multiple 2cv 24 hour winners David O’Keeffe and Alec Graham followed over the line to take second and third places.
Race 2 Yet again Nick Crispin made a cracking start in the wet to come from 8th to third by the second corner. Pete Sparrow held onto the lead until the last lap having fought a great battle with Michael Storey on a wet Brands hatch circuit, but it was Nick Crispin that slipped through on the last lap to take the chequered flag for the second time.

In other racing Ben Rushworth also secured a double win in the BARC saloons VTEC Challenge races. Other races were made up of Clubmans, Junior Saxo’s, Classic VW saloons and the Michelin Clio series.
