FERRARI CHALLENGE UK BRANDS HATCH

The inaugural round of the Ferrari Challenge UK kicked off this past weekend at the Brands Hatch Indy circuit.

The Prancing Horse’s brand new dealership series featured two action packed 30 minute races. Jason Baker from Dick Lovett Swindon dominated the weekend gaining two poles and converted them into race wins. Baker was closely followed by Jamie Clark from Stratstone Manchester in both races and only finished behind Baker by a few hundredths of a second.

It was an action packed weekend which had a little bit of everything from start to finish. The first race had the occasional yellow flag, a safety car and even a red flag in the last few laps of the race. Jason Baker early on pulled out a lead over Jamie Clarke, until a clash between Josh Kirkwood-Jones and David Grover left Grover beached in the gravel at Paddock Hill bend, which brought out the safety car. After the safety car restart Jason Baker was not able to pull away. And the rest of the race was a intense battle with Jamie Clarke until the race was brought to an end due to a red flag caused by Gary Redman coming to a stop at Clearways in an unsafe place.
