At the Festival of Speed the other weekend, Paddock42 caught up with Simon Jordan, the man behind Caracalla 1947, the motorsport inspired luxury luggage maker….our timing was good, as he has just launched the Monaco Historic Collection…

Simon has been busy working with likes of the Ayrton Senna Foundation, Sir Stirling Moss and Sir Jackie Stewart as of late, producing some truly excellent products that are a great match for your classic racer, these include holdalls that you can carry your race kit and helmet in around the paddock. Talking to Simon we got the low down on what the new collection was all about, “The Monaco Grand Prix one of the most glamorous events in the motorsport calendar and we wanted to design a new range that convey’s the style and elegance of this great event. As always, we use the finest Italian shoulder leather and inside the printed lining showcases a selection of stunning vintage Monaco Grand Prix posters from the 1930s-1950s. We even sew in a Monaco flag discretely into the seam…”
