Paddock kit – Caracalla 1947 Monaco Collection

At the Festival of Speed the other weekend, Paddock42 caught up with Simon Jordan, the man behind Caracalla 1947, the motorsport inspired luxury luggage maker….our timing was good, as he has just launched the Monaco Historic Collection…

Simon has been busy working with likes of the Ayrton Senna Foundation, Sir Stirling Moss and Sir Jackie Stewart as of late, producing some truly excellent products that are a great match for your classic racer, these include holdalls that you can carry your race kit and helmet in around the paddock. Here at Paddock42 HQ we have had our eye on the Barry Sheene number 7 for a little while…

Talking to Simon we got the low down on what the new collection was all about, “The Monaco Grand Prix one of the most glamorous events in the motorsport calendar and we wanted to design a new range that convey’s the style and elegance of this great event. As always, we use the finest Italian shoulder leather and inside the printed lining showcases a selection of stunning vintage Monaco Grand Prix posters from the 1930s-1950s. We even sew in a Monaco flag discretely into the seam…”

These bags are a real piece of craftmanship so throwing them into the race van after the meeting is not really the thing to do even if they do come with a lifetime guarantee, but they do also make an ace weekend bag and not only that you can get them accepted as hand luggage on most airlines too.

The Monza-drivers’ bag is the one for the racers, its a helmet bag that will also fit Hans devices, but the rest of the range includes, garment carrier, tented wash bag and wallet coin case. If you are looking for something unique, Caracalla 1947 offer a fully personalised option enabling you to design your own design and put your very own race number on it. Black with a gold stripe and a number 42 we think would look great……

So with the price of your historic racer rising its time to look the part in the paddock…..

Take a look at the full range at www.caracalla1947.com.

Many thanks to Simon Jordan an Caracalla 1947.
