MGCC MG Trophy Championship Donington

MGCC MG Trophy Championship – Paul Luti continued his return to form with both victories in the two MG Trophy Championship races at Donington Park the other weekend (August 3rd).

After dominating at his home track Knockhill in July taking the double win this the result at Donington puts Luti him back up the table to 5th place.

It was a super close contest in the first race, neck and neck with Chris Bray, the result went down to the wire with just 0.3 secs between them at the flag. Race 2 was saw Luti again take the win with Ross Makar second and Bray again on the podium for third. The racing was again close in the Class C contest with Richard Marsh taking both wins strengthening his position at the top of the championship table. Race 2 had a restart after a spectacular roll from class D driver Jonathan Harker fortunately he was unhurt in the incident.

The next rounds (9 & 10) of The Trophy Championship are at Oulton Park on September 6th.
