The HSCC Historic Superprix July 2015

HSCC arrived in Kent at the weekend (11th/12th July) for the annual Brands Hatch Super Prix, the major historic race meeting that is held on the Grand Prix circuit every year.

In the build up to the meeting, (see P42 news), HSCC had confirmed 370 entrants and a 17 race programme over the two days – they did not disappoint. Full grids, close races and some remarkable machinery could be seen all weekend as drivers and spectators enjoyed good weather with only sporadic light rain on the Sunday.

A broad array of machinery was on display, with the Historic Grand Prix Car Association in attendance various fine historic F1 cars were out on track being used as they were designed to be. Interestingly the weekend marked the 51st anniversary of the first World Championship F1 race at Brands which witnessed a certain Mr. Clark taking victory in a Lotus 25. From F1, F5000 , F2, F3, E-Types, Cortina’s, Mustangs, Anglias and historic endurance racing cars, all could be found, seen and heard. Results as follows…
