International Island Classic at Phillip Island 2016

For the second year running Team UK has taken out the International Challenge at the International Island Classic at Phillip Island.

After mixed conditions all weekend the team from the UK came home strong to overrun Team Australian on the final day. Trailing in the points standing overnight, Team UK dominated in race 3 with 7 riders in the top 10.

Jeremy McWilliams lead the charge for Team UK with 4 second place finishes over the weekend. Australia’s Beau Beaton & Jed Metcher won 2 races each but it was not enough to overcome the strong Team UK eventually winners by 99 points. Team Ireland finished in a strong third position with America and New Zealand following in fourth and fifth.

Metcher and McWilliams finished equal on points in the individual standing for the Ken Wootton Perpetual Trophy. Enjoy the gallery…
