Mid Wales stages

The 2016 MSA British Rally Championship opening round tackled the Mid Wales Stages on the 5th & 6th March and the 66 crews competing battled hard in tough conditions…

Starting and finishing in Newtown, the rally featured two stages in the darkness of Saturday evening and a further four in the daylight on the Sunday in the Hafren and Myherin forests. Weather conditions added to the challenge as snow had fallen on the lead up to the event and this had stayed on the ground in the higher areas and icy patches covered the gravel roads.

Fiesta R5’s lead the charge in the National A which was won by Elfyn Evans/Craig Parry, with Fredrik Ahlin/Morton Erik Pbrahamsen in second and Tom CAVE/James MORGAN taking third.
