TF Sport at top of the times at Silverstone 500

The 2019 edition of the Silverstone 500

Morning practice was greeted to pretty torrential rain, a sodden circuit for the drivers to contest offering some pretty tricky conditions.

TF Sport’s #2 Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT3 topped the sheets in the fully wet free practice session with a 2:19.720. JMH Auto make their Debut in the series with their new #55 Lamborghini Huracan 2019 EVO spec car, The team certainly have pace in the tricky conditions.
Ram racing were third quickest in the session in their #6 Mercedes AMG GT3 with a 2:20.377. Top 3 are from 3 different manufacturers showing great balance of performance for this blue riband event.

GT4 saw the #57 Mclaren of HHC motorsport on top of the times with a 2:29.367, a time that was near enough a whole second quicker than the time of the G-Cat Racing Porsche in GT3.
Second quickest in GT4 was the #14 Generation AMR SuperRacing Aston Martin in the hands of Matthew George and James Holder. #58 HHC Motorsport Mclaren rounded out the top 3 times of GT4, the Mclaren’s seem to be the most stable out there in the pretty wet conditions of the day.

#2 TF Sport ended the session on the top of the timing sheets but was brought back to the paddock on the back of a recovery truck with heavy front end damage causing a red flag to prematurely end the session.

Seconds free Practice is due to begin at 11:50AM, where the cars should be getting themselves prepared and running times similar to qualifying this afternoon.
