RS Kart Racing Take The Win & A 2nd

It was a good weekend for RS Racing, with a win at Rissington and a second place at Forest Edge.

Jack Mayle, on the Wildkart FY32, showed that the Wildkart is more than capable of maintaining a competitive pace from the first practice on Saturday to the final on Sunday at Rissington. The conditions were changeable throughout the day with a mixture of wet and dry sessions, this did not hinder the karts performance, as Mayle came through the field in both conditions. Jack took two heat wins and a second putting him on pole for the final, which set him up for a lights to flag win. This was the first time this year that Mayle has been to Rissington and is now confident that he can get a result at the Midland Championships next month.

Jamie Drabble had a successful drive at Forest Edge Kart Club finishing in second place. Drabble, on the Wildkart FY30, showed great pace in the first heat coming through from 12th to 2nd and closing fast on the heat winner Fazzone. The second heat saw Drabble come from 16th to 5th and after finishing 3rd in the final heat he qualified third on the grid for the final. It was a good battle for the lead between the front three drivers, Dunham, Fazzone and Drabble, for the first half of the race but once Drabble and Fazzone battled over second it gave Dunham the chance to get away.

RS Racing are very pleased with the performance of the kart over the duration of the weekend and feel that a win at Forest isn’t far away now. The next outing for the team is at Genk, Belgium as the last round of the BNL series in two weeks time, lets hope the results keep coming.

Paddock42 wish the team all the best for Belgium.
