Classic Sports Car Club 24th & 25th August Donington Park

The Classic & Sports Car Club have a big weekend coming up at Donington Park.

Donington plays host to the National Kit Car & Performance Show on the 24th/25th August and a major part of this event is the Classic Sports Car Club race meeting on the national circuit. Racing starts at 2pm on Saturday and 12.15 on the Sunday.

The featured races over the weekend include:

German and Dutch Triumph Competition and British GT series (three races)
CSCC Special Saloons (two races)
CSCC Gold Arts Magnificent Sevens
CSCC Future Classics
CSCC Modern Classics
CSCC Swinging Sixties (two races)
CSCC Tin Tops
JEC Jaguar Classic Parts Saloon and GT Championship (final rounds of the season)
MGCC Thoroughbred Sportscars Championship
MGCC BCV8 Championship

With over 300 racers entered and a number of sold out grids, this is the largest event in the 2013 Classic Sports Car Club calendar. The CSCC own series are 40 minutes long and include a pit stop adding to the excitement, and features cars from the 1950s all the way up to present day.

If you attend the Kit Car show in a kit car, the driver gains free entry (via the Museum entrance only) to the show which is on the infield. You are then able to walk around the show and watch the racing all day from the infield.

If you want to access the show or watch the racing in your tin top (i.e not your Seven or kit car) you will need to pay the usual advance rate of £12, or £15 on the gate (adult price). In addition CSCC have negotiated a 50% discount off normal prices to access the famous museum, providing entrants show their kit car show or racing entry tickets before they pay at the museum.
