Graham Conaty

Graham is a West Australia based freelance sports photographer with a special interest in motorsport photography. His passion for motorsport began at the age of five when his Dad took me to Silverstone for the Formula 1 British Grand Prix. That happened to be the very same year Ayrton Senna famously clung to the side of Nigel Mansell's car on his way back to the pit lane. I still remember it as if it were yesterday, flooding onto the track at the end of the race as legends of the sport drove past us within touching distance. From that moment I was hooked and ended up going to every British Grand Prix up until the age of 21, and a few more since. My interest in photography also came from my Dad who has captured some incredible images of the English landscape over the years. It seemed only natural for me to combine both of my passions and focus on becoming a dedicated sports photographer. I am currently the club photographer at Kalgoorlie International Speedway and hold media accreditation with Speedway Australia.
