BTCC IP TECH Teams Up With Marshall Amps

IP Tech Race Engineering has today confirmed a new partnership with iconic music brand Marshall Amplification ahead of its debut in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.

The agreement will see the famous Marshall Amps logo feature prominently on the Team Club 44 Chevrolet Cruze of Andy Neate when it joins the BTCC field, with the car being the latest machine built to the series’ Next Generation Touring Car regulations.

Formed in 1962 by the late Jim Marshall OBE, Marshall Amps is one of the most recognised brands in the entertainment industry, with its range of products being famous both for their specific sound, and for the high-quality craftsmanship that goes into their production.

The desire for perfection and attention to detail that goes into every product is something shared by the team at IP Tech Race Engineering, making a partnership between the two a natural fit.

“Everyone at IP Tech, and nobody more so than I, is totally overwhelmed to have a brand like Marshall – one of the world’s most iconic – associated with our team and with the BTCC,” Andy said. “It’s my firm opinion that Marshall is probably the biggest and loudest name in the TOCA paddock.

“IP Tech, and myself particularly as an inventor, are obsessed with technology and Marshall Amps are at the very forefront with their global presence within the ‘state of the art’ technology business. This underlines the message and ethos of our team moving forward, and also gives a clear indication of where we see ourselves as a team in years to follow”.

“I’m hoping IP Tech and Marshall will be making some big noises together in the BTCC for a long time to come.”

Alongside the new deal with Marshall Amps, Andy and the IP Tech Race Engineering team will also show support for National Blood Week – an initiative close to Andy’s heart following the accident he suffered during a Britcar race at Silverstone in 2008, which left him needing several blood transfusions.

To show support, the ‘Give Blood’ logo will be displayed on the bumpers of the Team Club 44 Chevrolet Cruze and on the arm of Andy’s race suit, in the same spot on the arm where a donor’s blood is drawn from.

“We are very grateful to Andy and the team for promoting blood donation in this way and we hope plenty of BTCC fans will be inspired to give blood as a result,” NHS Blood and Transplant spokesperson Theo Clarke said.

“Andy’s story highlights how blood often saves lives after accidents and injuries but it is also used as in a wide variety of regular treatments for illnesses such as cancers and blood disorders.”

Paddock42 wish Andy and the team all the very best for their debut. Foe the latest team news keep an eye on www.iptechraceengineering.com
