K-Tec to Sponsor 750MC Renault Clio 182 Series

The 750 Motor Club have announced that Renault performance specialists K-Tec Racing will sponsor their Clio 182 Series in 2014.

The Dorset based K-Tec Racing were initially engaged by the club to provide the unique ECU for the series as they were looking a ECU that could ensure a level playing field. The final developed bespoke ECU not only provides more power but also helps ‘police’ the individual race car via a sophisticated data logging system. Launched in 2013 and having shared grids with 750 Motor Club’s Stock Hatch Championship during this season, the K-Tec Racing Clio 182 Series will have standalone grids for 2014.

“We are confident that we will start the season at Silverstone with at least 20 cars on the grid”

Competitions Manager Giles Groombridge expressed delight at K-Tec’s decision:

“We are delighted to have K-Tec on board, not only as a technical partner but also as title sponsor, their reputation in the Renault tuning world is second to none, furthermore we are really excited with the reports of how many cars are currently in build and are confident we start the season at Silverstone with at least 20 cars on the grid…”

“Cars can be built for as little as £5,000”

Sean Martin, Sales Manager at K-Tec commented:

“We are very pleased to be a part of this competitive, affordable and exciting race series. Working with the 750 Motor Club team has been a pleasure in this start-up year, which made our decision to add title sponsor to our technical support role an obvious one. We very much look forward to the 2014 season”

Racing for this series starts at Silverstone on May the 3rd.

The 750 Motor Club was formed in the spring of 1939, and has had such notable members including Colin Chapman (founder of Lotus and Team Lotus, 7 times winner of F1 World Constructors Championship), Adrian Reynard (founder of Reynard), Eric Broadley (designer of the Ford GT40 and many Indy winning chassis) and Gordon Murray (designer of F1 championship winning Brabham and McLaren F 1 cars and the McLaren F1). The club has grown into the country’s leading low cost racing event organiser.

Many thanks to the 750 Motor Club.
