Fun Cup 2014 Season Announced

Fun Cup season is fast approaching as the teams get ready to start testing and add the finishing touches to their 2014 pre-season preparations. Originally conceived in mainland Europe in 1997, this is close affordable endurance racing at its best and today this series can also be found in Belgium, France, Italy, Spain and Germany.

Being a fast driver is only a part of it, teams need to plan and have a strategy as fuel stops, driver changes and racing incidents all come into play. This racing gives you quality time behind the wheel, no 20 minute races here as the races usually last between 4 and 8 hours. The race weekends consist of a 1 hour qualifying session on race day and testing taking place the day before the race and to add further excitement the grid positions are made from a random ballot. The Spa 25hr is a big meeting of the year with the UK racers heading over the water to take on the European teams and in this event alone you can have 160 identical cars and some 900 plus drivers competing.
