British Historic Rally – Snow, Ice & the Red Kite Stages

Snow and ice made it tricky going for crews in round 1 of the 2015 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship last weekend, but as conditions improved only 15 seconds covered the first 5 crews as they entered the final stage…

Jason Pritchard and Phil Clarke took a remarkable win in Category K moving from 4th to 1st in the final Caeo stage in their Mk2 Ford Escort, a feat they completed in only 9 miles. Before this stage David Stokes and Guy Weaver in their Ford Escort Mk1 led the charge and Richard Hill and Iwan Jones were hot on their heals in a Escort Mk2. Terry Brown and Den Golding held 3rd also in a Mk2 but non could stop the charging Pritchard/ Clarke combination.

Category 1: Rikki Proffitt/Graham Wild (Porsche 911)

Category 2: David Stokes/Guy Weaver (Ford Escort Mk1)

Category 3: Richard Hill/Iwan Jones (Ford Escort Mk2)

Category K: Jason Pritchard and Phil Clarke (Ford Escort Mk2)

Round 2 Mid Wales Stages is being held on Sunday 1st March.
