R.A.C. Rally Championship Round 1 – Red Kite Stages

Last weekend the opening round of the R.A.C Rally Championship slipped and slid into life with the Red Kite Stages, snow and ice made this rally a real challenge for drivers and teams..

Philip Burton and Mal Capstick (Ford Escort Mk2) took the class victory on their debut of the West Wales Rally Spares sponsored Championship, with Ian Beveridge and Paul Price also taking a class win in their Volvo PV544.

R.A.C Rally Championship – Red Kite Stages Category winners were:

Category 1: Ian Beveridge/Paul Price (Volvo PV544)

Category 2: Stuart Cariss/Linda Cariss (Ford Escort Mk1)

Category 3: Grahame Standen/Jane Edgington (Ford Escort Mk2)

Category O: Philip Burton/Mal Capstick (Ford Escort Mk2)

Round 2 Mid Wales Stages is being held on Sunday 1st March.
