BRSCC Mazda MX-5 SuperCup & BRSCC Mazda MX-5 Championships

BRSCC Mazda MX-5 SuperCup and the BRSCC Mazda MX-5 Championships start this weekend at Silverstone and big grids are a definate for this season…

Already the Mk1 Championship already confirming 58 registered drivers, and the Mk3 SuperCup has 33, this should make for some interesting racing. The SuperCup continues to be a popular, hard fought championship especially with the return of the Blendini Motorsport Scholarship which was won previously by a promising young driver called Jack Harding. Last year’s champion Abbie Eaton has gone to race in the GT Cup, and 3 other race winners from 2014 will not be returning meaning that Tom Roche is likely to be a front-runner again. In the The Mk1 Championship, the top 3 drivers from last season have all made the step up to the SuperCup and reigning Toyo Porsche champion Jonathan Greensmith will also be driver to watch during this championship year.

2015 Calendar for both MX-5 Championships:

April 5th – Silverstone SuperCup & Championship

May 3rd – Rockingham SuperCup only (British GT support)

May 10th – Brands Hatch Championship only (British GT support)

May 25th – Castle Combe SuperCup & Championship

June 13th – Rockingham Championship only

June 28th – Snetterton SuperCup only

July 19th – Cadwell Park SuperCup & Championship

August 22nd – Oulton Park SuperCup & Championship

September 13th – Croft SuperCup & Championship

October 18th – Donington SuperCup & Championship

This season, we have had it confirmed that brief video highlights of the SuperCup races will be produced within 4-5 days of each meeting and then posted on YouTube and we will be publishing these on Paddock42 throughout the season as they will show just how competitive these championships really are.
