Renault World Series at Silverstone

Renault World Series arrived at Silverstone at the weekend (5th & 6th September) and Paddock42’s Brian Clarke was at the famous track to take a closer look at the championship that attracts drivers from all over the World.

The series was founded in 2005 and visits some of Europe’s finest circuits and this season the teams travel to 9 different tracks that have included, Spa and Aragon and even Monaco for the F3.5’s. Last weekend it was Silverstone’s turn and with some busy grids there was some close racing under mostly blue skies at the Northants track and with Formula Renault widely seen as a breeding ground for young drivers potentially destined for the heady heights of F1, it was a weekend to take note of talent. Next stop is the Nurburgring (12th September) then onto Jerez for the season finale. Take a browse through the gallery, results as follows:
