Radical 2016 Championships & Calendar

Radical have announced their championship plans for 2016 with the SR1 Cup, Radical Challenge and the Radical European Masters all tackling some fine tracks across the UK and the rest of Europe

SR1 Cup

Snetterton and Cadwell will be opportunities for driver to get on track and the events will be run to ‘track day rules’ so drivers who don’t have MSA ARDS test completed are still able to get out on track. The 1st event of the year will take place on Sunday 15^th May, other meetings include Oulton Park, Cadwell and the season concludes at Snetterton.

Radical Challenge

2016 sees classes for single drivers in SR1 cars or SR3 cars and a Team Class for 2 drivers sharing an SR1 or an SR3 and will include two short sprint races along with longer semi-endurance events which will include compulsory pit stops .

Pre-season testing starts at Snetterton, and the Challenge will visit the GP circuits of both Silverstone and Brands and has a mixture of two and one day meetings over the year.

Radical European Masters

A nice broad selection of circuits welcomes the European Masters drivers again this coming season with pre-season testing potentially available at the stunning Portico in the week before the first meeting of the season which starts at Estoril.

Spa, Paul Ricard and Silverstone follow the opening round and a welcome new addition to the calendar as Donington GP circuit will be welcoming teams and drivers for the first time. Next up the teams go back into Europe and to Monza and then to Jerez for the final round of the season.
