2015 Perth Speed Fest at The Perth Motorplex

Simon Phillips returned to the Perth Motorplex over the weekend (13th December) to capture the Perth Speedfest meeting and there was plenty to see…

The Western Australian sun was, of course, out and the 8,000 odd visitors enjoyed temperatures in the mid 30’s and glorious sunshine by mid morning. Along with the visitors, big Aussie stars from the world of motorsport attended the meeting with the likes of former F1 hero Alan Jones, current F1 and Perth native Daniel Ricciardo, V8 Supercar divers, Will Davison, Alex Rullo, Nick Percat and Alex Davison.

James Brock, son of the late legend Peter, WRC driver Alister McRae (brother of Colin and son of Jimmy) and representing the 2 wheel fraternity, MotoGP’s Jack Miller, Australian Superbike Champion Wayne Maxwell and Red Bull X Fighters, freestyle motocrosser, ‘triple back flipper’ Josh Sheehan…..

Out on track, drag, drift and dirt track racing was seen and enjoyed. Going next year? You betcha.
