CSCC Open Series 2016

The Classic Sports Car Club (CSCC) are welcoming new members to join with them for 2016 and it is the Open Series that the club organises, that could be the ideal opportunity.

The ‘Open’ could be ideal for drivers that have cars that are unsuitable for the clubs existing series, such as those with non-original engines, wider than standard bodywork and kit cars that could be interested in competing…

CSCC say that pretty much anything goes in the series but no slicks and no sports racers are allowed. The series will have separate classes that will include, Caterham Seven type cars, hatch/saloons/sports cars – a total of 10 classes between the two categories.

In 2016, these races will take place at almost all of next seasons meetings including Spa (8 rounds), and they will be 30 or 40 minutes in length depending on the venue, with a pit stop, for one or two drivers. It will be a single driver, 15 minute sprint race at the Cadwell Park meeting however, due to time constraints of the event.
