MAXIMUM MOTORSPORT TAKEOVER OF THE MILLTEK VW RACING CUP FOR 2016

Maximum Motorsport have announced that they have agreed a partnership agreement with Volkswagen Racing UK to take over the management of the Milltek Sport Volkswagen Racing Cup this season.

Maximum Motorsport took over and successfully managed the Maximumgroup.net VAG Trophy last season but one of the major changes this year is the fact that the championship permit will move from the BRSCC to MSVR, reason being that the championship will then follow the VAG Trophy schedule. The management say that the decision to move to MSVR was not made easily as the BRSCC have been working with the championship for the last 15 years but overall it made sense to allow the championship to follow the existing MSVR schedule. The plan is for the Maximumgroup.net VAG Trophy to race on the Saturday and the Milltek Sport Volkswagen Racing Cup to take place on the Sunday during a race meeting weekend.

Maximum Motorsport say that there will incentives in the pipeline for both championships that will include headlining some large UK events – more news to follow on this.
