BRSCC JOHN NICOL TROPHY is awarded to Nick Tandy

BRSCC have awarded Nick Tandy, current reigning Le Mans 24hr winner, the BRSCC John Nicol Memorial Trophy.

The trophy was presented at the BRSCC Club’s Annual Awards Dinner dance which took place last Saturday night in Stratford-upon-Avon celebrating the 2015 season. The award is named after the John Nicol, a former Chief Executive of the BRSCC and was presented to the works Porsche driver by Debs Nicol.

The trophy has plenty of well known names on it, Lewis Hamilton, Murray Walker, Mark Webber and Damon Hill can all be found etched into the metal. Also during the evening, Nick Tandy was please to accept the title of Vice-President of the BRSCC.

Other awards included, Alan Jenkins won the Bert Lamkin Memorial Salver in recognition of his dedication and service to the club and the Open Sportswear Series over many years. 2015 Flag Marshal of the Year was awarded to John Blake and the BRSCC South Eastern Centre also featured in the presentation of the GPDA Monty Terrell Trophy. A special award was given to OSS driver Ginger Marshall and his Marshall Fraser Racing Team, in celebration of an incredible 55 years in racing. MSA Formula champion Lando Norris became the inaugural winner of the Henry Ford Trophy which was presented by the club for the first time.
